Forserum is an industrial village in the western part of Nässjö in Småland, Sweden.
The village with about 2000 inh. is situated on old cultural ground, with a large number of ancient remains.

The local heritage society in Forserum was founded in 1935. A park area was laid out on the property of the farm Runseryd.
A number of old buildings from the neighbourhood are moved into the park to create a heritage centre.
The society is keeping a lot of older objects. It is also documenting the old days as well as participating in the work
with forming the new community.
If you are an emigrant or if you have ancestors from our part of Småland, you are welcome to be a member of the society
Forserums hembygdsförening or just to contact us.
In august 2014 a new Industrial Museum was initiated.

Book about Stenseryd
In September 2007 the book 'Stenseryd i Forserums socken' was published. It is the result of two study circles.
The book contains information about the farms and the owners from about 1850. Torp and backstugor
are also presented.
